On February 20, the management and students of the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics joined the events in memory of the victims of the tragic events in the city of Khojaly in 1992.

In January 2019, the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics signed the Protocol on Cooperation with the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) .  In the framework of partnership for the sake of sustainable development, K۶Ƶ will take part in the development of programs that are an integral part of the interactive IFES Civil Education course “Democracy: From Theory to Practice”.

On February 16-19, 2019 a group of teachers of the ۶Ƶ passed the first training on methodology of teaching civic education.  As a result of the training, they will present an interactive course “Democracy: from theory to practice” that will last for one semester.  The training was organized by IFES in order to prepare participants for the teaching of the Civil Education course “Democracy: From Theory to Practice”. The course on civic education was developed by IFES and will be implemented in the 2019-2020 academic year. This event was made possible thanks to the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of International Affairs of Canada and British assistance from the Government of the United Kingdom.

On February 20, events in honor of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred took place in the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics hosted. Among  Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred was a graduate of ۶Ƶ, an outstanding freedom fighter, hero of Maidan and activist Yevgeny Kotlyar.

 February 15-17, students of the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics took part in the regional annual student powerlifting competition “Sport Throughout Life”. The team of ۶Ƶ became one of the best.

February 17. At the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics was held an Open Day. Entrants and their parents were introduced to the opportunities of higher education in ۶Ƶ, presented educational programs and familiarized with the current rules of admission.

On February 15, the administration and students of ۶Ƶ together with representatives of local authorities and self-government, law enforcement agencies, public organizations, and also the leadership of Kharkiv Regional State Administration took part in the events dedicated to the memory of those who fight at the territory of other States.  30 years ago the last column of Soviet troops left the territory of Afghanistan.

This week in Kharkiv starts the third season of the largest in Ukraine school of social design and grant-making “Open Grants School”, organized by the Department of innovative development and image projects of the Kharkiv city Council.
The aim of the project is the social integration within the concept of sustainable development,
development of competence and skills of representatives of public organizations willing and able to initiate and implement social innovation projects in various spheres of life in Kharkiv.
 This year the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics – a leader in international activities among the universities of Ukraine became the main partner of Open Grants School. ۶Ƶ has 94 active international agreements.
It is on the basis of the new modern classrooms that theoretical and practical classes, training sessions and master classes of the School will be held.
As Professor Semenets noted during the press conference, such an initiative will be useful for scientists of ۶Ƶ who will also have the opportunity to learn how to prepare project applications for financing their projects within the framework of the concept of sustainable development.

 On February 14, together with the Head of State, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Head of the President Administration Igor Rainin, Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svetlichnaya, representatives of the public and journalists, the leadership of the Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics attended the first concert in the renovated hall of the regional Philharmonic.
