From 19 to 23 February 2024, the WARN community took part in research and training activities at the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ of Coimbra. The training week was held as part of the Erasmus+ project “Academic Response to Hybrid Threats” 610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.
Representatives of the project partners reported on the development of various work packages over the past 5 months, as well as on new challenges and tasks in the final stage of the project.
Professional speakers from Portuguese government organisations and lecturers from two faculties – the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Science and Technology at the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ of Coimbra – shared their experience and knowledge.
The interactive format of the training sessions facilitated discussions and debates on security issues, particularly in the following areas:
– prospects and trends in CSDP (Common Security and Defence Policy);
– mental health and its restoration in conditions of military conflict;
– psychological monitoring and intervention in crisis situations;
– excellence in teaching and scientific guidance;
– cybersecurity and governance in the EU.
The materials obtained during the training will be used in the future to update the educational programmes of ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ.
This will contribute to the sustainability and dissemination of the project results, the strengthening of interdisciplinary research and overall educational synergy among WARN environment participants.
