On October 13, 2026, as part of a working visit to Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics, Oleh Sharov, Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, met with the ۶Ƶ academic community.
Before the main part of the meeting, ۶Ƶ Rector Ihor Ruban and the team of Vice-Rectors presented the ۶Ƶ’s scientific achievements, current areas of research, and the results of the work of the ۶Ƶ academic community.
The meeting continued in ۶Ƶ’s modern safe educational space. Oleh Sharov presented awards of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to leading ۶Ƶ researchers, recognizing their professional contribution to the development of education and science.
The central part of the event was Oleh Sharov’s presentation entitled “Higher Education in Ukraine: Strategic Changes in Wartime.” During his presentation, he outlined the current priorities of state policy in higher education, the key changes and challenges facing Ukrainian universities today, and further directions for reforming the higher education system under wartime conditions.
The meeting was attended by members of the ۶Ƶ Rectorate, faculty deans, heads of departments, academic staff, and representatives of the ۶Ƶ’s student self-government. The format provided an opportunity to discuss issues of particular importance to the ۶Ƶ community directly with a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The event concluded with an open discussion. Oleh Sharov answered questions from ۶Ƶ lecturers and students concerning the current state and future development of higher education, the implementation of educational policy, and the ongoing transformation of Ukraine’s higher education system.
The working visit provided an important opportunity for direct professional dialogue between the ۶Ƶ community and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the strategic development of Ukrainian higher education.
