Ihor Ruban, Rector of Kharkiv National ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ of Radio Electronics, took part in the Student Forum “State-Building under Martial Law and Urban Recovery through the Eyes of Students.â€
The Forum provided a platform for open dialogue between Kharkiv students, representatives of public authorities at different levels, business, university leadership, and civil society organizations. The key focus was the role of active young people in social processes, the development of civil society, and the future recovery of Ukraine.
Today’s students actively contribute to volunteering, research, innovation, civic activities, and youth projects. Therefore, an important part of the Forum was dedicated to discussing the younger generation’s vision of Ukraine’s future, the development of Kharkiv, and the role of the student community in the city’s recovery.
ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Rector Ihor Ruban delivered a welcome address to the participants. He emphasized the importance of student initiatives, the development of student self-government, and the involvement of young people in processes that shape modern civil society.
During the working sessions, students asked questions, shared their views, and actively participated in discussions on cooperation between young people, public authorities, universities, and local communities.
A separate part of the Forum was dedicated to presentations by student leaders. Kira Shuban, Head of the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Student Senate, presented the experience of the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ’s student community and highlighted the contribution of ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ students to public life under martial law.
The presentation showcased examples of volunteering, student self-government, scientific and youth projects, community support, digital and innovative initiatives, and cultural activities. These examples demonstrated the many ways in which students can contribute to the development of their ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, city, and country.
The Student Forum became an important space for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, discussion of current issues, and generation of new ideas. For ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, participation in such events is part of its ongoing efforts to create an environment where students can take initiative, assume responsibility, and actively contribute to social change.
