The Department of Video Surveillance and Security of Kharkiv National ۶Ƶ of Radio Electronics is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the university, its facilities, property, and individuals on campus. The department’s key responsibilities include:
organizing and maintaining the security of university buildings, structures, property, and other infrastructure facilities;
enforcing access control procedures at secured sites, including document verification and monitoring of entry and exit;
monitoring the premises using the video surveillance system, documenting incidents, and promptly reporting any irregular or emergency situations to university leadership;
cooperating with law enforcement agencies in case of threats to public order or criminal activities;
responding to emergencies (such as fires or technical incidents), alerting emergency services, containing threats, and participating in response efforts;
safeguarding material assets, including during off-hours, public events, or academic breaks.
The department operates in accordance with the university’s internal regulations, national legislation of Ukraine, and in close coordination with other university divisions.
